Plain Fabrics

Plain weave fabric is the second most commonly used type of carbon surface. Plain weave is denser than the 2/2 twill pattern, making it easier to work with the fabric without damaging it. However, compared to 2/2 twill (ribbed) weave, it is more difficult to fold and bend, so it is not the first choice for patterns with many curves and contours.
